EDN operates at the intersection of home design, indoor gardening, and connected technology. Its flagship product combined a smart indoor growing system with app-supported lighting and watering features, enabling users to cultivate herbs, vegetables, and flowers within compact urban living spaces.
As the brand prepared for retail expansion, including placement within Apple stores, the challenge was to reposition EDN from a niche gardening product into a contemporary lifestyle brand. The product needed to function not only as a piece of technology, but as a considered interior object capable of competing for limited countertop space in modern homes.
I led the development of a comprehensive brand refresh, establishing a new visual identity system that extended across packaging, digital interfaces, and product communication. This included designing a modular packaging architecture aligned with Apple’s retail guidelines, introducing a refined typographic system, updated color palette, iconography, and a scalable packaging solution for EDN’s expanding range of seed pods. The resulting identity balanced technological clarity with warmth and domestic sensibility, positioning EDN as both a functional device and a design-forward lifestyle product.
